Occupational Health and Safety Law No. 6331 All the employers are obliged to provide certified occupational health and safety training to their employees within the scope of the Regulation on Procedures and Principles of Occupational Health and Safety Training of Employees.
Occupational health and safety (OHS) training are extremely important in acquiring a security culture. The researches carried out; Due to human error, 88% is caused by mechanical errors and 10% is caused by unforeseeable reasons.
50% of work accidents are easily preventable accidents. 48% of work accidents are accidents that can be prevented by systematic work. Only 2% of accidents are incidental accidents. 100% of occupational diseases can be prevented by taking necessary measures.
Basic OSH Trainings For Employees:
- a) At least once a year and 16 hours per year in workplaces in very dangerous class
- b) 2 hours at least once in 12 hours
- c) It is arranged at least once in 3 years and 8 hours in the workplaces in the less dangerous class.
OHS Training Periods
(1) The training to be given to the employees, within the periods in which the employees enter the job and in the ongoing areas within the work;
a) Less dangerous workplaces and at least eight hours,
b) less than two hours
c) Very dangerous workplaces less than six hours as it is arranged for his employee.
(2) In the first paragraph, in the distribution of activity training periods according to the subjects mentioned in Annex-1, work activities in the workplace are taken as a basis.
(3) If the duration of training is to be a holistic variety, shifts in four hours and multiparty workplaces and similar work programs can also be evaluated in various time periods.
