Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Social Security Systems
As part of cooperation agreement between Social Security Institution (SGK) and the Statistical, Economic and Social Research and Training Centre for Islamic Countries (SESRIC), “Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Social Security Systems” was organized in Ankara on 4-6 April 2016.
The workshop was attended by the representatives of SGK, SESRIC and Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Member Countries. Representatives of the Ministry of Family and Social Policies, Confederation of Public Servants’ Trade Unions (Memur-Sen) and ILO also participated to the workshop.
Speaking at the workshop, President of SGK, Dr. Mehmet Selim Bağlı emphasized the importance of cooperation and knowledge sharing with regard to the social security systems in OIC Member Countries. Dr. Bağlı informed participants on the social security reforms in Turkey.
Musa Kulaklıkaya, Director General of SESRIC, highlighted the importance of social security and expressed the readiness of SESRIC to cooperate on this issue
